Our Take

A second pair of Joy-Con 2 is the simplest way to add players on Switch 2. The set includes a left and right controller plus two straps. Nintendo lists motion controls, HD Rumble 2, the C Button for GameChat and mouse controls in compatible games; both sides can act as a mouse on a flat surface. They're only for Switch 2, not the original Switch. For long solo sessions, a Pro Controller is more comfortable, and a single Joy-Con held sideways is small for adult hands. We haven't tested them ourselves. Charge them by attaching them to the console or a charging grip, which is sold separately.

Why PriceDropIQ Selected It

A spare pair is the cheapest way to get two more people playing on a Switch 2, since each Joy-Con can work as its own controller. They also add mouse controls in games that use them. If you mostly play alone on the TV, the Pro Controller is the more comfortable buy.
