Our Take

WD-40 is the can most people reach for first in the garage. WD-40 describes it as a lubricant, penetrant, moisture displacer and corrosion protector. Its own suggested uses around the car include loosening stubborn lug nuts, treating door seals and weather stripping, and freeing frozen locks; at home it quiets hinges and removes sticker residue. The Smart Straw stays attached, so it doesn't get lost. It's a light-duty lubricant: for parts that need long-lasting grease or a dedicated penetrant, WD-40's Specialist line does those jobs better. It's flammable, so keep it away from heat and sparks. We haven't tested it ourselves. This listing is a two-pack of 14.4 oz cans.

Why PriceDropIQ Selected It

It's the one can that handles a stuck lug nut, a squeaky door, a frozen lock and a rusty tool, which is why it lives in so many garages. The attached straw makes it easy to hit small spots. For seized, rusted bolts, the Specialist Penetrant works faster.
