Our Take

If you drive an EV and charge at home, a Level 2 charger is the upgrade that matters most. The Home Flex is ChargePoint's home unit. ChargePoint lists a 23-foot cable, ENERGY STAR certification, app scheduling and a 3-year parts warranty. The important detail for this plug-in version: ChargePoint's datasheet says NEMA plug-in models are limited to 32 or 40 amps on a 40 or 50 A circuit; only the hardwired version reaches 50 A. That's still plenty for overnight charging for most drivers. Outdoors it needs a weatherproof outlet or hardwiring, and you'll likely need an electrician to add the outlet. This listing has a J1772 connector; Teslas need an adapter or the NACS version. On Amazon it was sold by Spreetail, a third-party seller, when we checked. We haven't tested it ourselves.

Why PriceDropIQ Selected It
