Shokz OpenFit 2 Open-Ear Earbuds
Open-ear earhook earbuds that sit outside the ear canal, so you hear traffic and people around you. Shokz lists 11 hours per charge, 48 with the case, IP55 and physical buttons.
Quick verdict
Yes, if you want music while still hearing traffic and people around you. The Shokz OpenFit 2 sits outside the ear canal, lasts up to 11 hours per charge (48 with the case), is rated IP55 and uses physical buttons. It can't block noise and has less bass than sealed earbuds, so it's a poor fit for loud commutes.
- Best for:
- Music while staying aware.
- Watch out:
- No noise isolation.

Our Take
The OpenFit 2 is for people who want music while staying aware of their surroundings, on runs, at the gym or at work. The earbuds rest on the outside of the ear with a flexible earhook. Shokz lists up to 11 hours per charge and 48 with the case. A 10-minute charge adds 2 hours. Each earbud weighs 9.4 g, they're rated IP55, and they connect to two devices at once. Controls are physical buttons rather than touch. Shokz backs purchases from its own site with a 2-year warranty. The trade-off is isolation: open-ear designs don't block noise, and bass and privacy are weaker than with in-ear buds at high volume. We haven't tested them ourselves. Choose them for awareness and comfort. Choose sealed in-ear buds if you commute somewhere loud.

Why PriceDropIQ Selected It
If you want music or podcasts while still hearing traffic, colleagues or your kids, open-ear buds solve that better than in-ear ones. The OpenFit 2 adds long battery life, physical buttons and a secure earhook. You give up noise isolation, so they're not for loud commutes.
