Part of our buying guide: Which Multi-Bit Screwdriver Do You Need? 11-in-1, Tamperproof, Precision or Hollow Nut Drivers

Our Take
A normal nut driver bottoms out when the bolt is longer than the socket is deep. Klein's 32950 drivers are hollow for 3-3/4 inches, so they keep turning down threaded rod and long bolts, which is the everyday problem on strut channel, electrical boxes and shelving. Klein lists six SAE sizes (1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 and 9/16 inch), each color coded, on 5-inch shafts with a 1/4-inch hex end. They're impact rated, so they go straight into an impact driver, and the set includes a ratcheting quick-connect handle for driving by hand. Rare-earth magnets hold the nut, with stronger magnets in the larger sizes. It's a specialist set: if you rarely meet long bolts, a multi-bit driver with nut drivers covers the basics. It isn't insulated. We haven't tested it ourselves.

Why PriceDropIQ Selected It
When a bolt sticks out past the nut, an ordinary nut driver stops turning; these hollow drivers keep going, and they work in an impact driver or on the included ratcheting handle. They're for electricians, installers and anyone mounting shelves or strut on threaded rod. If you only drive the odd nut, an 11-in-1 screwdriver covers it.
