Our Take

The Climber is the Swiss Army knife many people picture: two blades, scissors, a corkscrew, can and bottle openers, screwdrivers, an awl and a key ring. Victorinox lists 14 functions in a 91 mm body that weighs about 82 g, and a lifetime warranty. The scissors are the standout for camping, travel and everyday fixes. It isn't a multitool: there are no pliers, and the small screwdrivers won't replace a real set. Check local knife laws and remember it can't go in carry-on luggage. We haven't tested it ourselves. The photo shows the blue transparent version; this review links the classic red one, and other colors are on separate listings.
