Our Take

The grey 574 is the sneaker New Balance is known for, and it goes with jeans, chinos and casual outfits without trying too hard. New Balance lists a suede and mesh upper, ENCAP midsole cushioning (a soft foam core with a firmer polyurethane rim) and a rubber outsole with some recycled rubber, at about 380 g per shoe for this style. Extended widths are available, which is a real advantage if regular sneakers feel tight. It's a lifestyle shoe: fine for walking all day, not for running training. Suede needs care in rain. We haven't tested them ourselves. On Amazon, the grey listing was sold by third-party sellers with low stock when we checked, so check the seller and return policy.

Why PriceDropIQ Selected It

If you want one comfortable everyday sneaker that goes with almost everything, the grey 574 is a safe choice: cushioned enough for long days on your feet, with wide sizes if you need them. It's a casual shoe, not a running shoe, and the suede needs protecting from rain.
